STEPS :
Have the problem where the movie you are playing skips or the picture freezes? That is because your DVD is dirty. This article is the solution to your problem.

1- Place water on both sides of the DVD. If you still have that problem because of stubborn dirt, use mild dish detergent. 2- If you used mild dish detergent, rinse the DVD. Dry the DVD by stroking the DVD from the center to the outer rim. Use a non lint producing cloth to dry.
3- Put the DVD back in its tray and enjoy the rest of the show.
4- If you still have this problem after cleaning the DVD with mild dish detergent, take the DVD to Radio Shack to get it repaired. Sometimes this problem can still occur because there are scratches on the disk. Sometimes the disk can be so scratched that it can't work anymore.
WARNING :
If you a cleaning a DVD you rented from a Redbox, be careful not to get the bar code wet and/or torn. If dirt is stubborn, don't use any other solution other than mild dish detergent. This can be a risk to irreparably damaging the DVD. |
